Sigh. yes in modern terms now. sex and gender are different. back then sex and gender was the same. Gender now is being a use to Identify people.

correct back then the gender identity terms weren't discovered yet and when the first were some people didn't accept it some people still don't

Actually, for the word to change gender identity terms had to be discovered first in order for the word to change into what it is now

Yes. Gender, Sex, and Pronouns are all different terms. Pronouns ≠  gender, and gender ≠ sex. A good example is trans people, A trans person can be FTM. Their sex is woman, but their gender is Male (until it is changed). Hope this helps, Kami!!
