I think there's nothing wrong with giving someone a kiss on the cheek, even if they're not related. Its not a big deal as long as both people are comfortable with it.

^ exactly. its a common thing in France actually so I don't think there's anything wrong with it as long as both people are comfortable with it and you aren't crossing some kind of boundary
