Question

pitter patter
sound of rain
gently tapping my window
tonight.

calming,
soothing,
right?

not for me.
it irks me,
to hear the rain.

heart beat racing,
eyes are wide.
blanket close,
dog by my side.

wrecks,
scrapes,
soaking wet,
rain is like poison
dripping from the sky.

you trip and fall,
you scrape your knees.
i hate when i hear
pitter patter near.
