WW1 started because a Serbia group has assassinated Franz Ferdinand. Austria-Hungary then declared war a month later. The long term causes of WW! were Militarism, Alliances, Imperialism, and nationalism. The war was from July 28, 1914, to November 11, 1918. The main Alliances of that war was the Entente and The central powers. What officially caused WW1 to end was the Treaty of Versailles (TOV) proposed by The Big Three (Woodrow Wilson, David Lloyd George, and Georges Clemenceau) in 1919 during the Paris Peace Conference. It has Wilson's Fourteen Points strategy. this is what I remember from my notes. I tried my best!! It might not be EVERYTHING because we are also learning about WW!.
