ok... anyone have advice?? ...I did Choir all throughout Middle school and have ALWAYS been put in Soprano those three years. I am SET on believing I am a soprano. HOWEVER..This year in HS my director put me as an ALTO, meaning I have to sing in a lower voice..but I usually sing HIGH. When I'm supposed to sing my alto part, I usually go to high and do a soprano part and have to constantly be told to go lower. Now, I have TROUBLE singing in low notes which is why I go higher. I don't rlly wanna talk to my director abt it because instead of separating us based on our vocal range and wtv he decided to separate us on our normal talking voice pitch instead so when we sing we all sound like one person instead on a bunch of ppl singing. So....Anyone have advice on how I can keep my pitch low instead of going high?? : ( (also if you care, i'm auditioning for a SOLO. wish me luck..)
