right ok hmmm, so if the heat capicity of dry air is 1050 joule/(kg C), that means it takes 1050 joulels of energy to raise the temperature one degree C

so it would take 5.25x10^19Kg * 1050 joule/KgC = 5.513 X 10^22 joules/C

OpenStudy (sandra):

since you want to raise it 2 degrees, it's 1.10 * 10^20 joules (twice as much)

well, I feel like that makes sense =). use the calculator though that was in my head

the point is multiple the kg * c * j/kgc = j (the number of joules)
