FIND THE COMMON DENOMINATOR OF 2/3 + 4/5=

first write out the multiples of the denominators until you get common ones... for 3-3,6,9,12,15,18,2,... for 5-5,10,15,20,25,30,... now look for the common multiples and choose the lowest... in this case the lowest is 15(common to both 3 and 5, but is the lowest common one;there are other multiples common to both) so the common denominator is 15...
