OpenStudy (wesley):

I am working on learning how to factor trinominals. Can you teach me how to work x2+9x+14

OpenStudy (anonymous):

we find two factors that multiply to make the last number, and add up to make the middle number. So here we have factors of 14 such as 2,7. and 2+7 = 9, so 2 and 7 work, and (x+2)(x+7) is your solution

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it takes a little more work when you have something in front of the x^2 , other than 1. Let me know if you want to do a problem like that

OpenStudy (wesley):

Yes I did not put my ^. Can you work it like that.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

whats that?
