I need help with linear equations ...The value of a Mint State 63 1950 Jefferson Nickel minted at Denver is 4/3 the value of a similar condition 1944 nickel minted in Philadelphia. Together the value is $28.00 what is value of both coins?

x = value of 1944 nickel x+(4/3)x = 28 solve for x
yeah i get that but fractions for some reason stump me... would I find the GCD for 3 and 28?
no you donn't need to do anything like that just combine the xs by adding and then solve for x. there is no x squered
