if my linear differential equation is in the form y'+ 1/y = 2 how do i get the y to be in the correct form?

The first step is to get your y' terms to one side, and your y terms to the other side. Once you've done that, you simplify to find the correct equation.
Except that isn't a linear differential equation. Linear differential equations need to be in the form y' + p(t) y = g(t) and because of the 1/y term this is not a linear differential equation.
