An aquarium is 36 inches long, 9 inches wide and 24 inches high. The volume of water in the aquarium is 2,268 cubic inches. Use the formula Volume = length ⋅ width ⋅ height to find the height of the water

its just rearranging an equation come on , im not doing your homework :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[36*9*7=2268\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so can you help me set up the equation?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

36 inches by 9 inches by 7 inches is equal to 2268 cubic inches.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Mrbone has kinda done that

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its just that you would say 36 x 9 x h = 2268

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then you would isolate the h, and u end up with h=7

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so you would divide the other 2 numbers off then?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes h= 2268 / ( 36 x 9)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok sweet thanks
