How to calculate slope between points (5,-10) and (-12,20) algebraically??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its in the (x,y) form.. all you have to do is subtract y coordinates and x coordinates and divide them its like [20-(-10)]/ [-12-5]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is that all I have to do?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes!and you get the slope. it is related to derivatives.. learn more! theres a lot of stuff ahead... and trust me, its fun!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[m = (Y _{2} - Y _{1})\div (X_{2} - X_{1})\] where: m = slope
