f(x)=x^2-2x-3
what is the question?
this is a parabola that faces up the zeros are -1 and 3 because \[x^2-2x-3=(x+1)(x-3)\]
the vertex is \[(1,-4) \]
whats the x-intecept
x - intercepts means where it crosses x - axis same as the zeros. they are -1 and 3
If (x+1)(x-3) = 0 what must x be?
grr.. too many answers, not enough questions satellite ;p
on the x- axis, y = 0, so asking for the x - intercepts is a synonym for "set = 0 and solve"
hello polpak
what is with this 7C3 business? is that the way it appears on a calculator?
soo how to i type this answer in the computer to my answer key
Yes. That's the calculator notation that they're introduced to when they start that section.
can someone help me!!
I think we did.. I have no idea how to put it into your class' answer key.
like is is [-1,3) (-1,3)
Oh. Well it's asking for the x intercept. So what is the x,y values of the two points?
