Mostly a matter of how many off-site partners are sending traffic in that direction. It's also a chicken-and-egg problem: there aren't enough people there, so people ask in math instead, or don't ask at all. We're working on trying to change that in the less-popular groups :)
OpenStudy (rainbow):
Math is typically a requirement in college and high school regardless of major/program; hence, more students are enrolled in math at any one time. More people avoid chemistry :-)
