y-9>-17 y>-8 This results in a horizontal line drawn at -8 and you shade ABOVE the line since y is greater than -8.
bobbyleary this graph i have to pick from has an arrow to the left or right and a parenthese in the middle of the graph now whcih way should the arrow be pointing at -8
Do you mean you need to decide whether it is y>-8 or y<-8? I'm sorry if that's not what you need to know. I'm imagining y ( ) -8 (choose between < or >)
