using synthetic division, can someone give me the answer for 1/4 6 -3?

i have to wonder if this format is more advantageuos to synthetic division, since the bulk of the work is in multiplying the bottom to get a number to add to the next one ...

I've drawn synthetic similar to your second example when using synthetic to divide non-linear divisors...it makes the work you're carrying along easier for my students to keep track of.
