The resultant of the 2 dimensional vectors (1.4 m, 4.3 m), (-4.1 m, 3.2 m), and (2.9m, -0.2m) lies in what quadrant?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the 1st quadrant

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i appreciate the answer...but can you kind of guide me here?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

when we do vector addition we add the x values to get the resultant vectors x value and we do the same to find the y value

OpenStudy (anonymous):

which in this case was(0.2,7.3)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay...so the x^ or however you do it is the 0.2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and then you graph the final result from it's origin correct?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and we know that in the 1st quadrant the values for x and y are positive which matches with the values we have found out

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yup

OpenStudy (anonymous):

much appreciated....i have another question but i'll just repost..still dealing with vectors
