\[A=\pi r^2=\pi (7)^2=\pi (49)=49\pi \]
but use 3.14 for pi so we have \[A=(3.14)(49)\]
By using following formula Area=pi*r^2
\[A=\pi r^2\] \[A=(3.14) (7)^2\] \[A=(3.14) (49)\] \[A=153.86\] So area is roughly 153.86 square inches.
(1) (1)(3) 3.14 * 49 ---------------- 2826 +12560 ---------- 153.86 since decimal was over twice in one over the #s
