Graph the following function. Be sure to show calculations for at least three points on this graph. F(x) = 1/2x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You should plot the points such that Y = 1/2x for different values of x (let us say 1, 2, 3).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Im not sure what you mean

OpenStudy (anonymous):

BTW - is it 1/2 * x. Or 1/(2x)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its one half x (like one over 2x)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So, if x is 0, F(x) will be infinity. That means, the y-axis will reach infinity. When x is 1, F(x) is 1/2. When x is 2, F(x) is 1/4.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok, is that the answer to the question? I am so confused on this one.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you graph it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, the question is asking to find the value of F(x) for three different values of x. So, I provided the evaluation for x=0, x=1 and x=2. You can pick any values you want. Graphing becomes easier once you have a few values of F(x) for various values of x. Just plotting them on graph paper and connecting the dots.

ok i dont know how to graph it though :-/
