What is the value of the x variable in the solution to the following system of equations? 4x − 3y = 3 5x − 4y = 3 x can be any number as there are infinitely many solutions to this system There is no x value as there is no solution to this system −3 3

You should multiply these equations by a number that helps you eliminate y from the two so that you can solve for x. For example, multiplying the top equation by 4 and bottom equation by 3 should result in 12y in both. Subtracting the equations should get rid of y and give you an equation purely in terms of x. Then, you solve for x.
