can someone explain me momentum??

If an object is in motion and has a mass then it also has a velocity and therefore has momentum. You calculate it by taking the mass x velocity.

when we apply force it causes an acceleration causing in velocity=m(change in velocity) where change in velocity upon time is acceleration so equation changes to mdv/dt where mv is momentum ie rate of changr of momentum

Lets take an example. There are two balls a and b rolling with the same velocity. a is 10 times heavier than b. if you want to stop them, that is you want to make their velocity 0, obviously force needed by ball a is more (precisely 10 times). The measure of this quantity is momentum (m.v). and force is equal to rate of change of momentum, that it depends on mass and velocity both.
