\[\lim x->9 (x-9)\div (\sqrt{x}-3)\]

first make sure that you get \[\frac{0}{0}\], which you do. then rationalize the denominator by writing \[(\frac{x-9}{\sqrt{x}-3})\times (\frac{\sqrt{x}+3}{\sqrt{x}+3})\] the denominator will be \[x-9\] and you will then cancel, and replace x by 9 to get your limit
