OpenStudy (paxpolaris):

\[{1+\cot(X)+ cosec(X) \over 1+\cot(X)-cosec(X)}= = \cot(X)+cosec(X) \] is that right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i don't think they are the same?

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

They are not equal...a counterexample is pi/2 cot(pi/2) = 0, cosec(pi/2) = 1 --> 2/0 = 1, which is False
