How do you show a chemical reaction to show how hydroxide antacids neutralize stomach acids?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

CaCO3 +2HCl-->CaCl2 +CO2+H2O

how then do you know what stomach acid to use? Is there a specific formula for stomach acid( CaCO3)??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Stomach acid is HCl (hydrochloric acid) CaCO3 (calcium carbonate) is the active part in tums a popular antacid tablet.
