Differentiate with respect to s (2ra^(rs)+n)^p.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Apply chain rule it becomes p (2ra^(rs)+n)^(p-1) *(2ra^rs)' To find derivatives of the type k^(hx) It is h k^(hx) (ln h) here k=ra and h=r so just find the derivative and then substitue

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You are differentiating with respect to s so it doesn't do that. If you are assuming that everything else is a constant? Or do we treat them as functions? There is a subtle difference, one is partial differentiation and the other is IMPLICIT differentiation.

Yeah thats true but judging by the question i would suppose r,a and p are constants w.r.t s
