NCl5 do not exist but PCl5 does.. why??

OpenStudy (jfraser):

phosphorus can use its nearby d-orbitals and hybridize them to accept up to 12 electrons in its outer level, meaning up to 6 bonds. Nitrogen has no nearby d-orbitals, so it's stuck with a maximum of 4 bonds.
