a solid auminum cube measureing 15inches on a side is melted and rolled into aluminum wire that is 0.2 inches in diameter. What will be the length of this wire?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if it is rolled then the length of the wire would not change =D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it should only be gotten thicker

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok this is what i have gotten so far... i understand that if i call the length of the wire "h" and then calulate its volume. the cross section of the wire is a circle. I also know that i have to know the area as well and each side face of a cube is a square. the area of one side is therefore equal to the area of a square of side length 15in and with all that being said 15 cubed would be 3375 and now i am stuck help
