OpenStudy (jfraser):

Same kind of question as one of your earlier questions, and so the same kind of reason goes into the answer http://openstudy.com/users/jfraser#/updates/4f253e4de4b0a2a9c266d7ac

jfraser iiam confused in soloubility product question.plz tell me why a salt with least ksp value is more solouble

OpenStudy (jfraser):

Which is larger? 10^-10, or 10^-20?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the first one

OpenStudy (jfraser):

Good. KSP is a product of the concentrations of the ions in solution. The larger the concentrations, the larger the KSP value will be. The salt that is the most soluble will have the most ions in solution, and the largest KSP.\[K{_S}{_P} = [Cu{^+}{^2}][S{^-}{^2}]\] The salt that is the least soluble will have the lowest concentrations of ions, and the lowest KSP.
