OpenStudy (cristiann):

(1/(10))ln(x-10)-(1/(10))ln x

OpenStudy (jamesj):

If we complete the square, we have \[ x^2 - 10x = x^2 - 10x + 25 - 25 = (x-5)^2 -5^2 \] Do you see the answer now?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i can't read it, but since you have the answers given, take the derivative and see which one works

OpenStudy (cristiann):

The first one

I'm not really understanding this problem, what are you supposed to do with the square once its completed?

OpenStudy (cristiann):

You may either use the given formula or solve it from scratch by expanding in simple fractions...the use of formula shouldn't be compulsory, it is just a suggestion... anyway, the formula is obtained by using the same method...

Mk, I see, thanks man!
