x^3 +4x^2 -9x -36 / x-3 =x^2 +7x +12 x^3 -3x^2 ---------- 0 7x^2 -9x 7x^2 -21x ----------- 0 12x -36 12x -36 --------- 0 0
ok ?
x^2(x+4)-9(x+4)=(x^2 -9)(x+4)=(x-3)(x+3)(x+4) so than this divided by (x+3) equal =(x-3)(x+4)
