a student needs 200 mL of 1M NaOH for an experiment. The stockroom has 12M NaOH only. How can the student prepare 1M NaOH from the 12M available?

M1V1=M2V2 So u are given the M of the beginning solution and the required amount and molarity of the final. So fill in the blanks: M1= 12M V1= x M2=1M V2=200 mL (12M)x=(1M)(200mL) After u solve for x, u subtract that value from 200 mL and that is how much water u add to properly dilute it
