Explain how to make 200mL OF 2 M sodium hydroxide (NaOH)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Uhm, what do you have at your disposal?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think Chemistry might have been a better spot for this q (next time...)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what do u mean thats all the questions says and i need to understand how to do these types of questions

Try Chem Group

You need to know the formula weight of sodium hydroxide, which is more or less exactly 40g/mole. This is made up of 23 (sodium) 16 oxygen and 1 hydrogen. 1 litre of 1M would be need 40g, so 200ml of 1M would need 8g. 200ml of 2M would need 16g. Hope this helps

now how u do that @ebaxter01

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you want to make some or answer a question on how to make some - I can't really advise you on how to do something hazardous.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

both becaseu i have to know how to break it down i kno w how to make it but whe it come to solving the problems i have trouble

OpenStudy (anonymous):

For olving this you should know mening of M M stand for molarity 1 molar solution means 1 gram mole into 1liter of water or solvent. Clear? Now you can use simple relation formula. C1 : V1 = C2 :V2 C concentration V volume
