OpenStudy (anonymous):

Which of the following describe a neutron? A. mass number of 1 B. atomic number of 0 C. positive charge D. neutral charge

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Neutrons have neutral charge and I suppose that the mass may be called as mass number of 1

OpenStudy (xishem):

Neutrons also have an atomic number of 0 as they have no protons.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't know how exactly do you decide what is the mass, but I know that the proton has a similar mass to the neutron

OpenStudy (xishem):

The mass of a proton and neutron are very close -- within a few thousands of an amu. In isotope notation, neutrons are considered to have a mass number of 1.
