Look at the position of three basketball players on a court. Which statement is true? Answer The distance between Player B and Player C is less than the distance between Player A and Player B. The distance between Player A and Player C is equal to the distance between Player A and Player B. The distance between Player A and Player C is more than the distance between Player A and Player B. The distance between Player A and Player B is equal to the distance between Player B and Player C.
This has everything to do with angles, and you will need to use what you know about isosceles triangles. You can see that this is in fact an isosceles triangle because two of the angles are equal (<A and <C). This means that lengths BA and BC should be equal. We can rule out the first answer and the third answer then. The second one is likely not true, because the angle with larger measure usually yields the longer line as well, so the second is not true. The fourth is correct because of the isosceles triangle rule, and also because the first three are just wrong :) HTH!
