can we produce an acceleration in a pair of magnets that are connected to each other and have their like poles facing each other ?

i think u know that we can produce a motion by placing magnets faceing opp or same poles but acceleration depends on uniformity of the field produced by the magnet ! its a good question that u asked ! i want to know the answer myself !
