In an atom, electrons have negative charge while the nucleus has positive charge. So, if the atom is not to collapse due to the electrostatic force of attraction, between them, where do you think the electron should be to make the atom stable?
travel outside the nucleus ......... actually they move around the nucleus in fixed energy orbit (similar to the way planets move around the sun)
Travel outside the nucleus. imagine the solar system with the sun being protons and neutrons and the planets being the electrons thats how i remember it
