Simple solution to make the congruent figure. Take every corner coordinate, and subtract one from the x- and y- values.

Simple solution for second part: Let C=C', and (0,5)=D'. If we go halfway from C to B, B'=(-2,7) Now calculate halfway back along the line y=5 to get A'=(-3,5). Same angles, proportional sides (constant of proportion is 1/2) gives a similar figure.

For the first part, we just move the whole thing a touch. For the second one, I cut it in half because it seemed to be a convenient way to do it.
