i need a example of inequalitie graph and shading it in

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y<5x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Or even better, y<x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You know what the line y=x looks like, right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeppers

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, so you've got your line and now need t oshade

OpenStudy (anonymous):

To figure out where to shade, plug in a point for x and see what y values are less than x. For instance, choose 0 for x. That means, to fit the inequality, you need a number like -1 or less.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So you shade on the side of the line that has 0, -1. That would be the bottom half. Does that make sense?
