Can someone please explain to me how they got $404,766.2?
In the georgia aquarium, the ocean voyager display contain 6 million gallons of water. the viewing window is made from acrylic and is 61 ft wide, 24 ft high and 2 ft thick. a recent price for acrylic is about 8 cents per cubic inch. how much would that sheet of acrylic cost?
Btw I am studying volume... and learned a new formula . Volume =base x height
This one doesn't have the length measurement?
oh they tricked me!! ugh it said 2 ft THICK
That's why you can't calculate!
so its impossible?
well it says 24 ft high so you have ur height..61 ft wide would be the width i'm guessing?
Because we don't have enough data to calculate the volume!
well I'm thinking we could use area of rectangle to find the base... lw
we have to convert ft to in though..
That's what suppose to be, so I'm asking if you mistyped it?
no.. I checked it and it was right
Let me think little bit!
ok! no prob
I really think this's impossible, first the length missing, second the given unit of volume mismatch: gal ( liquid) and ft ( measurement)
I know .. there has to be a correct answer, but from everything I've tried,... it doesn't look like there is.
It supposed given 2 volumes outside and inside, so we can subtract ( since the thickness included)
It's not that you can't do, just because this problem missing data. Sound to me sb just tricks other purposely!
yeah that's what Im thnking!!!
