what is a scientific hypothesis based on? A. A hypothesis is base on the research and data of the scientific experiement b. is based on the results and is results and is written explanation of the outcome c. is base ont he cause and effect relationship of scientific question and the proposed d. on the unlike outcome of a scientific experiment that you hope to prove incorrect
Well, what do you think?
Assuming that the hypothesis comes before the experiment?
c or d
um... I think it's between A.
or c
@claire1010 It's not D, i put that but it was wrong
A hypothesis- "IF" this happens "THEN" this will happen.
Huh?
Yes, I agree with Adam, thats how I was taught. But if i were to choose, it would be either B or C.
id say its based on an educated guess, and sometimes not even the educated part; but it has to be testable at least
i know that but, look @ the choices
only thing close to that that i can make out is c
I agree.
Gotta be C. A and B are almost conclusions or observations, which come AFTER an experiment. A hypothesis is formulated before any experimentation begins. A scientific hypothesis typically follows the form of "IF this THEN that." This reads to me as a cause and effect.
c. is base ont he cause and effect relationship of scientific question and the proposed DUHHHH :P lol
A.
It's probably a but also probably a trick question :P
A hypothesis is definitely NOT based on research or data from experimentation. Consider that an experiment aims to prove or disprove a hypothesis. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hypothesis
