Can someone please hep me with grade 11 chemistry?! Types of Chemical reactions 1. How come my answer sheet says that Calcium chloride + ammonium nitrate forms a chemical reaction?? I thought there was calcium nitrate and ammonium chloride are both aqueous so there's no reaction?
2. How come barium sulfate and calcium chloride DONT react? i thought they form a percipitate so therefore they reacted?!?!
3. How do I know when something is a synthesis reaction of double displaement or what not. IE apparently CaO + H2O would create a synthesis reaction?
For 2, BaSO4 is insoluble in water, even though you put it into water with CaCl2, it is still insoluble and is still BaSO4
For 3, to my knowledge... CaO + H2O -> Ca(OH)2, which is the lime water. But I don't really know how it comes
THanks :)
