Anytime you see "p" consider that it really means to take the negative log of something. So the negative logarithm of the concentration of Hydrogen (H+) is what? Well keep in mind that hydronium (H3O+) is really just a hydrogen proton (H+) with water (H2O). So [H+]=[H3O+] p[H3O+] = -log[H3O+] The concentration is 1x10^-7, so what's the negative log of that? Just look at the exponent, which gives you a pH of 7.
