what massof calcium oxide CaO,forms when 25g calcium carbonate CaCO3 decomposes on heating?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[CaCO _{3(s)}\rightarrow CO _{2(g)} + CaO _{s}\] Convert to moles first by dividing the 25g by calcium carbonates molar mass. SInce it's a one to one ratio from calcium carbonate to calcium oxide the amount of moles you just found is the same amount for calcium oxide. Then multiply by calcium oxides molar mass and there's your answer. Let me know if you get stuck.
