Imagine, hypothetically that 1.25 mmol of Mg2+ ions were passed through the ion exchange column. What volume of 0.1000 M NaOH would be needed to titrate the H+ ions that are released in the ion exchange processes? At first I thought it was 12.5mL but now I think it 25mL. Which one is right or is there a completely different answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I believe 25ml is correct. Due to there being twice as many OH's as Mg's

Thanks

no problem.
