need help finding radians...
this not is a right triangle ,yes ?
yes
so than how you will make calcules ?
no idea, thats why I'm asking.
you need a formula for the area of a triangle that uses the angle
i was given 1/2absin theta
|dw:1334342917710:dw|
if your given it, then id suggest you use it :)
i did, but my answer didn't work out...
11*4/2 = 22 22sin(t) = 5 sin(t) = 5/22 t = arcsin(5/22) will give you radians
area =5=4*h/2 =2h 5=2h --- h=5/2 =2,5 sin(teta)=h/a sin(teta)=2,5/4 sin(teta)=25/40 sin(teta)=5/8 =0,625 - so you need cheking sinus of what angle have this value ? for example sin(30) =1/2 or sin(45)=(sqrt2)/2
still puzzled as to what the answer is though.
the answer is: arcsin(5/22) i would assume
@gd0x --> did you get down to the step sine (theta) = 5/22? Before that, a person needs to know that the area of any triangle is equal to 1/2 the product of any two sides and the sine of the included angle. If so, from there, In degrees, I got 13.13 degrees. In radians, I got .2292 radians. Both came from sin (theta) = .2272 from (5/22) My calculator is in degrees by default. I changed the setting to radians and got the .2292 radians. (For small values of sine, the sine of the angle and the angle in radians are close in value.)
