Use complete sentences to explain the process of graphing f(x) = -x3 + 1

Set y = 0, you notice that it passes through the point (1,0). So, that's its real root. Then, for negative values of x, y tends to positive infinity, while for positive values of x, y tends to negative infinity. The point (1,0) is the inflexion point, so we would end up with something like: http://www3.wolframalpha.com/Calculate/MSP/MSP36711a1656fe1582gggi00003bai7e564bcgi1g0?MSPStoreType=image/gif&s=26&w=319&h=126&cdf=RangeControl Also, you did post about the end behavior of this function also, right? I gave an incomplete answer. If x goes into the positive direction, then, yes, the end behavior is -infinity. But if it goes into the negative direction, the end behavior is positive infinity. Sorry for that.
