Can u explain the process of poly unsaturation, i am getting confused?
@Vincent-Lyon.Fr
I do not think it is a process. Can you give examples involving polyunsaturations?
A student investigated the reaction of different vegetable oils with hydrogen. 100 cm3 of hydrogen was passed through 1 g samples of vegetable oils containing a suitable catalyst. The volume of hydrogen remaining after each reaction was recorded. vegetable oil volume of hydrogen remaining / cm3 P 100 Q 87 R 63 S 0 Which vegetable oils are unsaturated? A P only B Q and R only C Q, R and S only D S only 37
@Vincent-Lyon.Fr
what are: P 100 Q 87 R 63 S 0 ?
the are answers like a table
for example p=100cm3 then q=87cm3 then r= 63cm3
the volume of H2 remaining actually*
if those are volumes of hydrogen then your answer is: C --> Q, R and S only because unsaturated bonds are hydrogenised with catalyst, so hydrogen is spent ergo unsaturated oil
but they are asking which vegetable oils are unsaturated*? what does unsaturation mean
unsaturation means double or rarely triple bonds |dw:1338049322722:dw| hence unsaturation with hydrogen... do you understand
okay...In an experiment 264 g of strontium reacts with 213 g of chlorine. What is the formula of strontium chloride? A SrCl B SrCl2 C SrCl3 D Sr2Cl
i know its emphirical formula, should i like take Cl or Cl2, coz in other questions like to determine the formula contain Oxygen i used O?
to get ratio of element in compound you should take Cl
ill have to go to the store now, so if you have questions ask and i will answer them when i come back
okay....and what is meant by dynamic equilibrium?
oh, dynamic equilibrium is state where rate of reaction is equal in point of creating reactants and reverse reaction, speed of both reactions is the same, it is marked as double arrow in reaction: |dw:1338050205671:dw|
