can someone please help me ?
I need to kno how to enter in Log on my TI-83
the base is 3... how would i enter that into my calculator

Log(x)/log(3)
That gives you log base 3 of x

the ti can only do log base 10 (common log) and log base e (ln)
you'll need to do a change of base if you actually want to find the value of a log with a different base.
