Help me simplify an expression

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Are those signs division or addition. Cnat really see too clearly.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this is the equation let me type it up just a min

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[(x/x−4+6/x+4)÷3/2x^{2} - 32\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@tiaph are u still there?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry went to the loo. kay will do this now

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank u lol the loo :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if i dont reply back immediately it is because my laptop is freezing sorry

OpenStudy (anonymous):

First do this part of the equation, \[\frac{x}{x-4} + \frac {6}{x+4}\]\[= \frac{x(x+4)}{(x-4)(x+4)} + \frac{6(x-4)}{(x-4)(x+4)}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Cross multiply them. \[= \frac{x^2 +4x}{x^2 -16}+ \frac{6x-24}{x^2 -16}\] \[=\frac{x^2 +10x -24}{x^2 -16}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Merge this back to the original equation: \[\frac{x^2 +10x-24}{x^2 -16} * \frac{2x^2 -32}{3}\] \[\frac{x^2 +10x - 24}{1} * \frac{2}{3}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay then you can go on from here. Typing these long-retriceequations is painful.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah man thanks so much
