.prepare the NaOH solution by dissolving approximately 4g of solid NaOH in 200mL of water in a 250 beaker. -calculate the approximate NaOH concentration: a.convert grams of NaOH to moles of NaOH(MW=40.00,moles=g/MW) b.Calculate Concentration of NaOH (Molarity= moles/Liter, Remember:1 Liter=1000mL)

i really need to learn on how to do this..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

to find the molarity of a solution you divide the mole by the voulme (m/v) but u also have to find the mole of NaOH which is (mass/MW) MW is the atomic mass of each element calculated from the periodic table(4/39.9967)=0.100moles. Now u have the moles u can caluclate the concentration (molarity) (0.100/0.2)=0.50mole/L. Hope it helps. :)
